Important Update regarding Pool Access and Guest Passes

Last fall, as part of the broader discussion around improving the financial outlook of the Club, the membership voted to approve a proposal making the pool available to all members through a required seasonal pool fee. We are excited about this change, and believe it will make the pool an even more active, welcoming, and enjoyable place for members and their families this summer.

As part of the seasonal pool fee, each member account will receive 20 complimentary pool guest passes for the season. We hope this added benefit creates real value for members by making it easier to invite friends, extended family, and other guests to enjoy the pool and share in the special place we are all proud to call home.

Unlimited pool privileges apply to the member, the member’s spouse or partner, and children living in the household under age 26. In addition, a grandparent, nanny, babysitter, or other caregiver accompanying a member’s child may access the pool in a caregiving capacity. All other visitors are considered guests and require the use of a guest pass.

To help manage this process, we have created an online guest pass system. Members can use this link to verify their account, review their guest pass balance, register guests in advance of a pool visit, and manage existing guest reservations.

We ask for everyone’s patience as this is a new process for the Club, and both members and staff will need to familiarize themselves with the system. We fully anticipate there will be some adjustments along the way, particularly around how guest pass redemption is handled on busy days, weekends, and holidays. Suggestions from the membership are always welcome.

Dear Douglaston Club Members,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as your Pool Director for the summer of 2026! My name is Katharine Jushchenko, and I am honored to join your wonderful staff for what promises to be a fun-filled season.

During the school year, I teach middle school at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, where I work with students daily to foster learning and growth. I am excited to bring that same enthusiasm and dedication to the Douglaston Club this summer and create an engaging, safe, and enjoyable pool experience for all of our members.

I am looking forward to collaborating with your fantastic team and making this summer unforgettable. Whether you have questions, suggestions, or ideas for activities and programs you'd like to see at the pool, I would love to hear from you!

Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] with any thoughts or concerns.
